Abstract: Based on the coupling coordination model, this paper selects provincial and municipal data and then uses the entropy value method to assign indicator variables for a comprehensive evaluation of the development level of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries in Henan. This paper also measures the degree of coupling coordination of the two sectors and adopts the kernel density estimation method to analyze the dynamic evolutionary process and regional differences in the integration of the two sectors in Henan from a province-wide and regional perspective. From the overall level of the province, Henan has entered the late stage of industrialization, but the overall level of integration of the two industries is relatively low, still in the “primary coordination” stage and slow development. By region, the central and southern parts of Henan are in the “mid-level coordination” stage, while the eastern, western and northern parts are in the “primary coordination” stage. It is found that there are significant differences between regions, and despite the trend of bifurcation narrows year by year but still exists.
