Abstract: Universities are an important battlefield for the political construction of CPC. The political construction of CPC in universities has important educational value, which can ensure the correct direction of cultivating people for whom, anchor the goal positioning of cultivating what kind of people, and expand the path of how to cultivate people. Since the 18th National Congress of CPC, the political construction of CPC in universities has been greatly strengthened, and leading education work has achieved significant results. At the same time, analyzing the feedback from the political inspections of 31 national universities and 40 Henan provincial universities, it can be seen that there are still gaps in the political construction of CPC in universities in terms of political leadership, political beliefs, political abilities, and political ecology. In the new era and new journey, we should further strengthen political leadership and stabilize the correct direction of university education, strengthen political beliefs and establish a solid ideological foundation for educating students in universities. We should improve political ability and consolidate the subject foundation of university education, cultivate political ecology and optimize the environmental atmosphere for educating students in universities.
